Rebuilding the Princess

Iluka has only had three owners in her life and has been transformed into Princess Iluka by her current owners, who are proud of this superyacht, many years in the making. The time taken on the refit is testimony to their dedication and patience in ensuring perfection throughout the rebuild process. Princess Iluka was blessed with a particularly beautiful and aesthetically pleasing hull – a classic clipper bow that forms the foundation of the vessel.

After Iluka was lifted from the water in readiness for her overhaul, she was then completely stripped down. The superstructure, decks and all engineering were removed and the hull timbers were stripped bare to make way for her transformation. The superstructure was remodelled and rebuilt whilst the hull was lengthened to include a new transom. The internal transformation included the latest technology in engineering, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as state of the art electronics. The owners have been true to the yacht’s heritage and there is a distinctly Australian flavour throughout the interior.
